Mountain Pose
I don’t want to be a mountain. Strong. Unbothered. Immovable. I want to be the echo in the valley, carrying every creak, crackle and cry. I want to be the still lake, reflecting whatever appears. I want to be an aspen grove, growing as one organism. I want to be a mycelium network, nourishing saplings, warning of attacks. I want to be a dandelion, blown about by the laughter of children, ferrying wishes on the wind, never knowing where I’ll land. I want to be yeast, dying quickly, evolving just as fast, stimulating growth in others. I want to be a subatomic particle, all probability and no certainty. Yes, I want to be a quark, entangled with the universe. Fundamental. I want to be moved.
If this resonates, I’d love to hear from you. A comment, a share, or even just a like goes a long way. Writing into the void is its own practice, but knowing the work lands makes it easier to keep showing up.
